Carborough Downs – Mines Rescue Team

Queensland Training and Development are proud sponsors of the Carborough Downs Mines Rescue Team. Wishing the boys the best of luck in the next competition!

Carborough Downs Mines Rescue TEAM 2015

 Carborough Downs has 23 trained members who are essentially volunteers within the permanent and contract workforce.  Each year 3 competition events are held to put Mines Rescue Teams to the test. The Memorial Cup (QLD), the EK Healy Competition (QLD), and the Australian Titles (NSW). Highlights of the competitions are publicized in various industry, regional and overseas publications.


Formula 500 Driver – Joshua Pokarier

Race carQueensland Training and Development are a proud sponsor of a Moranbah Formula 500 Driver Joshua Pokarier Joshua currently races, right around Queensland, including Maryborough, Blackwater, Toowoomba, Mackay, Brisbane, Townsville, Cairns, Rockhampton.

Last year Josh competed in the Rocky Rumble, where he finished an amazing 2nd place, over a field of 15 drivers.

He also competed in Australian Titles on the 4-6 April 2015.  He finished 3rd in the B Main.  Which places him currently in the Top 20 Formula 500 drivers across Australia.

Australian Titles will be held next year in New South Wales.

“Awesome” Yacht – Airlie Beach Race Week

Awesome 2What a week of sailing it was! After a review of the results, the “Awesome” yacht tied for 4th Spot overall for the series.  A great result for the “Awesome” crew.  Queensland Training and Development were a sponsor for local yacht, and are very proud of the workmanship shown by the crew during the racing.

We look forward to hopefully sponsoring again in the coming years…..GO AWESOME!

 

 

 

Mackay Sarina Clay Target Club

Mackay Sarina Clay Target Club provides shooting facilities for members who access the site once a month, and for practice when available. The Club hosts an annual Two Shoot over a weekend in September where upwards of 100 shooters, partners and families attend the grounds.

Queensland Training and Development is a proud sponsor of this local club and are looking forward to continue a long association going forward.

Mitchell & Lachlan Ohl

Queensland Training and Development are proud sponsors of these local Motocross Legends!  Lachlan is 4 years old and rides a KTM 50 in the Division 1 class – he is just starting out in the sport.  Mitch rides a Kawasaki kx250f in the Clubman Lites class, which last season he finished 6th overall.

This year they intend on racing in the Central Queensland MX Series, Central Highland MX Series, Emerald MX Club Series and also other events and club days throughout the year.

We are looking forward to seeing them kick up some dust in a local club day coming up in Mackay.
